Welcome to Tiger Class! 

We are very excited to get to know you and your children. Below you will find information which will guide you through your child’s first term in Tiger Class.

Organisation

Timetable

Children can enter the classroom from 8:30 via the front playground cloakroom door. The children are expected to put away their own belongings before they begin their target time work. Children will join the rest of the school for break time at 10:25/30 until 10:45. The children can be collected from the front playground at 15:20. 

Equipment

Each day the children will require their bag with their reading book, snack, drink and lunchbox if they are having packed lunch. Please ensure all of your child's belongings are clearly named. PE kit is no longer required in school as it is worn on a Tuesday and Thursday as their school uniform.  If for any reason this changes, we will contact you via the Google Platform and school email.

Your child may bring their own pencil case with a pencil, rubber, sharpener, fountain pen with blue ink cartridges (we recommend a Lamy or a Parker), colouring pencils and ruler. All other equipment will be provided. PLEASE NOTE: Biros, gel pens and other ink based implements for writing are not permitted.

Medication

If your child required medication a form must be completed at the school office so the school has clear direction on how and when to administer. Please hand any medication directly to a member of staff rather than your child so we can store it correctly and securely. We are more than happy to help if your child needs medication given for a short period such as antibiotics - again we just need a form completed and the medication.

Learning

All information on your child's curriculum and letters can be found on the Google Classroom Platform. You will receive a letter regarding how the platform works at the beginning of term. For further user support please see your child's class teacher who will be happy to help you.

Forest School

Please ensure that your child brings in warm clothes and are appropriately dressed for the weather that day. Children MUST have a pair of wellies in school to wear. Please do not provide them with clothing that you are unhappy to get muddy or dirty. Forest school is all about getting muddy!
